Civic leaders from the Yuba County, Calif., area taking part in a Community Relations Tour were greeted Oct. 14 by leadership from both the 302nd Airlift Wing and 21st Space Wing here. The 24 civic leaders were briefed Oct. 14-15 on several missions in the Colorado Springs area, including the Air Force Reserve's 302nd Airlift Wing tactical airlift and airdrop and Modular Airborne Firefighting System aerial firefighting missions. The civic leaders also visited North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, Air Force Space Command and the U.S. Air Force Academy. Air Force-sponsored Community Relations Tours allow community and civic leaders to gain a better perspective on how the Air Force Reserve and its Active Duty counterparts work together. The civic leaders were sponsored by the Beale Air Force Base, Calif.,-assigned 940th Wing and 9th Reconnaissance Wing.
