PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Boy Scouts from River Forest, Ill.'s Troop 65 visited the Air Force Reserve's 302nd Airlift Wing Aug. 4 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. During their visit, the Boy Scouts learned about the 302nd AW's tactical airlift and airdrop mission using the C-130 Hercules cargo aircraft. The Scouts also learned about the wing's specialized mission of aerial firefighting, the only such organization in the AF Reserve. Troop 65 visited the 302nd AW during their stay in Colorado Springs, Colo., and also earned about aviation and careers in the wing.
