Col. Jay Pittman, 302nd Airlift Wing commander, accompanied by the wing's command chief, Chief Master Sgt. Suzette Cherry, met with Colorado elected officials and their staff members June 15 in Washington D.C. The visits were part of the Air Force Reserve Integration Orientation Course that gave leadership from the 302nd AW, an Air Force Reserve organization, the opportunity to share updates and information on the wing's recent Modular Airborne Fire Fighting activations, recent Air Expeditionary Force deployments and the progress of the wing's Total Force Initiative Active Duty association.

While in Washington D.C., wing leadership visited Representative Doug Lamborn of the state's 5th Congressional district as well as staff from Senator Mark Udall and Representative Diana DeGette's (Colorado's 1st Congressional district) staff.
