Col. DeVere with Vietnam
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Col. James DeVere, 302nd Airlift Wing commander, greets visiting Veterans who flew C-130 tactical airlift missions during the Vietnam War, here. The group of nearly twenty toured the Reserve Wing and a C-130H3, Sept. 22, 2016, the day after a C-130 tactical airlift mission memorial plaque was unveiled at the U.S. Air Force Academy's Southeast Asia Plaza of Heroes. The plaza honors the academy's Vietnam Veterans and the new memorial plaque was dedicated to the C-130 aircrews' contributions during the war. (U.S. Air Force photo/Daniel Butterfield)
