Patriot Guard Riders support local military
Members of the local Patriot Guard Riders pose for a photo Jan. 20 at the Colorado Springs Airport as they await returing members of the Air Force Reserve's 302nd Aeromedical Staging Squadron from a six-month deployment to Iraq. The PGR, which boasts its support for each deployment of military members in the Pikes Peak area, was established in August 2005 as a deterrent to protesters who disrupted military funerals because of their differing views and opposition to combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
