Low-level Thailand MAFFS training
The silhouette of a Royal Thai Air Force C-130 is projected onto a north central Thailand hillside as the crew practices Modular Airborne Firefighting System low-level flying. The RTAF crew was being instructed by members of the Air Force Reserve’s 302nd Airlift Wing, based at Peterson AFB, Colo. More than 50 members of the RTAF attended the 302 AW-led training to increase their proficiency with the MAFFS system. Seven 302 AW members traveled to Thailand to provide expert training on safe and effective C-130 MAFFS operations. This event marks the first time the Air Force Reserve has sent delegates to train a foreign Air Force on use of the MAFFS equipment. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. Jody L. Ritchie)
