American and allied paratroopers jump from a 302nd Airlift Wing C-130 June 3, 2012, while re-enacting the D-Day airborne operation on the La Fiere fields near Sainte Mere Eglise, France. The drops commemorated the heroic Normandy invasion of World War II paratroopers who made the jump 68 years ago. After the jump, the American and allied troops marched into the village to the sounds of cheers from local residents.
