Link getting soaked after fini-flight
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Senior Master Sgt. Jane Link, 731st Airlift Squadron, C-130 flight engineer flight chief celebrates the conclusion of her nearly 22-year Air Force career that spanned over four decades during her fini-flight, June 6, 2015 here. Link, who first enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1975, said she started her career in positions that were not traditionally held by women. Early in her career, Link served as an aircraft maintainer working on KC-135, FB-111 and RS-135 aircraft. She later cross-trained and served as a space systems equipment specialist before separating from Active Duty in 1983. She returned to the Air Force Reserve in 2001 as a C-130 crew chief with the 302nd Maintenance Squadron and finished her career as a C-130 flight engineer assigned to the 731st AS. Link ended her career with more than 2,420 flying hours including 119 combat sorties and more than 60 Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System sorties. (U.S. Air Force photo/Ann Skarban)
