El Paso County elevates to Stage II Fire Restrictions

Bill Elder, El Paso County sheriff, ordered Stage II Fire Restrictions for El Paso County, including Peterson and Schriever Air Force Bases, Aug. 24, 2020. Under the order, the following activities and items are prohibited: campfires; model rockets; public prescribed burning/burn permits; outdoor smoking (only authorized in an enclosed vehicle or building); sale or use of fireworks; outdoor cooking (grilling), including on private property, except for fires contained in liquid or gas-fueled stoves; outdoor fires at residence.
