Members of the 302nd Airlift Wing's Key Family Member Program are hosting a KFMP Care Package Wingding Saturday November 1, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at building 203 in the lower level classrooms for anyone who is interested in getting together, meeting new friends and lending a helping hand.

The Key Family Member Program is recognized as an up-and-coming Air Force Reserve wide program that is dedicated to ensuring the well-being of the families and friends of Reservists who have been activated or deployed and is sponsored by the Airman and Family Readiness Center.

The KFMP volunteers assist the Commanders, First Sergeants, unit staff, and families establish better communication and connections throughout the year. The program starts building a network of relationships prior to deployments, TDY's, and UTAs through activities and programs. Volunteers of the program represent their Reservist's unit and provide information, communication and resources to those at home. The KFMP volunteer can be in any state or community, thus giving the volunteer flexibility in a way she or he can help. The volunteers are given training by the Air Force Reserve Command staff on "what to say" and "what not to say", and other resources that are available.
