Col. Jack H. Pittman, Jr., assumed command of the 302nd Airlift Wing during a change of command ceremony Jan. 9 here. Colonel Pittman, formerly the Director of Intel, Air, Space and Information Operations at 22nd Air Force, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga., said after his family, the wing is his priority.

"I will do my job to give you everything I've got, for the entire time I'm here," said the colonel. "Our job is to train and equip each and every member of this organization to serve in their career field with honor, and the skill when called upon to fight. That's what you have done all along, and that's what we'll continue to do."

Maj. Gen. Martin M. Mazick, commander of 22nd AF, who presided over the ceremony, said, "302nd, you needed my best, and you got it. He (Colonel Pittman) is a leader who works with facts. He's level-headed and dedicated to our mission."
