Reservists may now qualify for early retirement Published April 2, 2009 By Senior Airman Stephen Collier 302nd Airlift Wing Public Affairs PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Effective March 12, a portion of the U.S. code that addresses special rules for Reserve members with physical disabilities was updated. Lawmakers recently authorized retirement for selected Reserve members with 15 but less than 20 years of satisfactory service regardless of whether the physical disability was incurred or aggravated in the line of duty.
