Dental Officer assumes command of 302nd Aeromedical Staging Squadron

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. --  Col. Sheldon Omi assumed command of the 302nd Aeromedical Staging Squadron during a ceremony here Aug. 7. Presiding over the event was Col. Jack H. Pittman, Jr., 302nd Airlift Wing commander. Colonel Omi was formerly chief of dental services.

"It is my pleasure to be part of this, to pass command to Colonel Omi. I do that with great pride," said Colonel Pittman. "And it is my pleasure to hand this organization off to you. I think you've got a great bunch of people and great resources. I'm sure you are going to do a fantastic job," said Colonel Pittman.

"I know it's going to be a challenge. I know we are going to have good days. I know we are going to have bad days. But with the teamwork we can produce, we can be the organization we are destined to be," said Colonel Omi.
