December 3 is a day that Lt. Col. John Anderson will not soon forget. Not only did he assume command of the Air Force Reserve Command's 302nd Civil Engineer Squadron in an assumption of command ceremony held here, but, the newly promoted lieutenant colonel was pinned by his mother and father in a ceremony that took place just prior to the assumption of command. Well-suited for the position, the lieutenant colonel has numerous deployments and commands under his belt including Operation Southern Watch, Operation Iraqi Freedom and he also served as the operations flight commander for 506th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron. Most recently Anderson served as the deputy commander for readiness for the 302nd Mission Support Group.
