December's Wing Commanders Call recognized both 302nd Airlift Wing officers and enlisted members alike. One by one, Col. Jay Pittman, commander of the 302nd Airlift Wing, presented medals and awards to Air Force reservists who set themselves above the rest with their actions while either deployed or on station.

Awardees recognized at the Commander's Call included Lt. Col. Peter Weilbach, Meritorious Service Medal, Third Oak Leaf Cluster, Maj. Damon Brown, Meritorious Service Medal, Capt. Jenny Dalstra and Tech. Sgt. Michael Sigley were presented the Air Medal. The Air Force Commendation Medal, Second Oak Leaf Cluster was presented to Senior Master Sgt. Edward Rife. Staff Sgt. Jose Ruiz received the Air Force Commendation Medal and the Air Force Achievement Medal was presented to Staff Sgt Paul Woods and Senior Airman Raymond Shaw.

Colonel Pittman capped off the commanders call, addressing topics such as the family care program, the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve awards program, and wishing the wing members and their families a safe and happy holiday season.
