Good intelligence is the key to the success of any mission; these are words that members of the Air Force Reserve Command's 302nd Airlift Wing, Operations Group Intelligence Shop here at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., live by. And, their performance and dedication to their mission didn't go unnoticed.

The members of the 302nd Airlift Wing Operations Support Flight Intel Shop were named the Air Force Reserve Command's Outstanding Operations Group Intel/Operations Support Flight Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Unit of the Year for 2010. The Air Force ISR annual award program recognizes outstanding leadership and performance in the pursuit of superior intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.

"The 302nd Intel shop provided invaluable intelligence to mission crews across the spectrum of the Air Force," said Chief Master Sgt. Doug Bradley, Chief Enlisted Manager, Intelligence Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, who personally presented the award to the shop members over the January UTA.

Throughout 2010 the members of 302nd Intel shop supported numerous deployments, producing countless mission reports that aided in hundreds of successful missions. Deployment and mission support in 2010 included Modular Airborne Firefighting System support to both Israel and Thailand, humanitarian aid to Pakistan, and the shop also provided invaluable intelligence by accompanying aircrew into combat zones, providing 100 percent threat assessment of new remote airfields.

"We strive to do our best, and to be recognized by AFRC is quite an accomplishment. I am very proud of my team and am confident that we will continue to strive to be the best Intel shop in AFRC," said Master Sgt. Dave Robbin, 302 OG/OGI Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge.
