ORI performers, award recipients recognized at commander's call

Air Force Reservists and Active Duty Airmen were recognized for their performance during a recent Operational Readiness Inspection during the 302nd Airlift Wing's final 2012 commander's call Nov. 4th here. Also recognized were Airmen who recently earned medals, coins, awards and their Community College of the Air Force degree.

Hosting the commander's call, Col. Jay Pittman, 302nd AW commander, presented three Meritorious Service Medals, one Air Force Commendation Medal and two Air Force Achievement Medals. One non-commissioned officer was also presented the Air Force Combat Action Medal.

Additionally, the colonel recognized two Air Force Association state-wide winners and one non-commissioned officer named to the All Armed Forces Softball Team. Soon after, Pittman publicly recognized 24 Airmen who recently received their Community College of the Air Force degree as part of the October 2012 graduation class.

The colonel also praised the wing on its Satisfactory rating in its recent Operational Readiness Inspection and highlighted some of the exceptional performers.
