PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Col. Robert Stanton, 302nd Operations Group commander, presents Lt. Col. Laurel McDaniel, 34th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron commander, a retirement certificate on Nov. 5, 2016, here. McDaniel served 35 years and nine months in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. “It is important to embrace change because change builds character; our character comes from our Air Force core values,” said McDaniel. Her U.S. Air Force Reserve has been an “incredible journey.” In retirement, McDaniel plans to spend more time with her family, skiing, supporting the Denver Broncos, and advocating for Air Force Reserve members who are still serving.
