AMXS change of command
Col. James DeVere, 302nd Airlift Wing commander, left, passes the 302nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron guidon to Maj. John Fite, the new 302nd AMXS, commander, during the squadron’s assumption of command ceremony at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., Aug. 6, 2017. The passing of an Air Force squadron's guidon signifies the change of command for a military unit, as the squadron's colors are handed to the incoming commander. Fite highlighted his priority for the squadron during his command was to ensure its readiness for supporting C-130 Hercules aircraft operations at any time. Fite takes charge of the squadron after the departure of Lt. Col. John Drain, who now commands the 15th Maintenance Squadron at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, HI. (U.S. Air Force photo/1st Lt.
