SrA Bontempo with STARBASE students
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Senior Airman Tracie Bontempo, a C-130 loadmaster with the Air Force Reserve Command’s 302nd Airlift Wing, explains how a flight harness works during a tour with Peterson AFB STARBASE students Feb. 25, 2015 here. More than 20 students spent the afternoon with 302nd AW Airmen to learn about their missions and to tour a C-130 aircraft. According to their official website, “STARBASE students participate in challenging ‘hands-on, mind-on’ activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. They interact with military personnel to explore careers and observe STEM applications in the real world. The program provides students with 25 hours of experiences at bases across the nation.” (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Daniel Butterfield)
