MAFFS operations prepare to continue June 28
Tom Hoffman, MAFFS liaison officer for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, briefs members of his department, the U.S. Forest Service and the 302nd Air Expeditionary Group on the day’s operations June 28 at McClellan Airfield in Sacramento, Calif. In a bid to streamline and synergize their efforts, military and civilian authorities at McClellan have combined their daily briefings. The 302nd AEG Airmen come from three units, including two Air National Guard units: the 153rd AW, from Cheyenne, Wyo., and the 145th AW in Charlotte, N.C. One Air Force Reserve unit, the 302nd AW from Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., is the only Air Force Reserve unit in the 302nd AEG. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Stephen Collier)
