302nd Airlift Wing Photos

To the Moon…

Civilian members from the surrounding communities near Cape Canaveral and Patrick Air Force Base, Florida received a chance to get one mile closer to the moon while visiting the military facilities in the Pikes Peak Region of Colorado Springs, Colo. These area civic leaders who were hosted by the 920th RQW (AFRC) learned the various functions of military personnel between the Cheyenne Mountain Air Station, the 302nd AW (AFRC) Peterson AFB, and the United States Air Force Academy. Civic leaders are a critical component with their support of Air Force Reserve members who are activated during annual tour, peace-time homeland security, national disaster relief and ongoing support with the Global War on Terrorism.
