Wing flight engineer surpasses career milestone
Senior Master Sgt. David Carey knows just about where every nut, bolt and rivet is on a C-130 Hercules aircraft. Sergeant Carey, a flight engineer with the 731st Airlift Squadron at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., passed a milestone for flight engineers recently by achieving more than 9,000 hours of flying time with the "Herc." "There are a lot of things that make this job good," the Air Force Reservist said. "I can't believe they pay me to do this." (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Stephen Collier)
