Congressional staffers see AF Reserve up close
Staff Sgt. Brian Popham and Mr. Robert Tate, both 302nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chiefs and Air Reserve Technicians, prepare a C-130 Hercules for a Congressional staffer orientation flight August 27 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. The staffers, from Colorado, California and Delaware, visited the 302nd AW after receiving a 'From The Field' brief in early August on the AF Reserve's civil support mission of aerial firefighting, located exclusively at Peterson. The staffers also received an in-depth look at the Modular Airborne Firefighting System program, giving them a better understanding of the unique types of missions performed by the Air Force Reserve.
