New Active Duty squadron activates with AF Reserve
Col. David Kasberg unveils for the first time since 1997 the guidon for the 52nd Airlift Squadron during an activation and assumption of command ceremony Oct. 3 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. The colonel, commander of the squadron's parent unit, the 19th Operations Group, is based at Little Rock AFB, Ark. The 52nd AS joins the 302nd Airlift Wing at Peterson to become the Air Force's newest active associate unit, bring AF Reserve and Active Duty Airmen together within the 302nd AW.
