A Hornet's nest
Lt. Col. Dan Dewhirst, operations officer, Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 112, explains the mission and capabilities of the F/A-18A Hornet to an employer of Guardsmen and Reservists from Colorado Aug. 30, 2007. The visit to Naval Air Station Ft. Worth and VMFA-112 came after a group of Colorado-based employers toured the Lockheed Martin factory and received a presentation on the capabilities of the military's F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. The 302nd Airlift Wing transported approximately 20 employers from Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., to Ft. Worth on a C-130 aircraft as part of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve's "Bosslift" program.
