Slovenian airmen visit, learn about 302nd AW

Slovenian air force Capt. Nikolaj Galesa (right) listens on as members of his military delegation ask questions to Lt. Col. David Condit (left) March 18 about the Air Force Reserve's aerial firefighting capability, based at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. Captain Galesa, together with three other members from Slovenia, were sponsored by the Colorado Air National Guard for their visit to the U.S. and to 302nd Airlift Wing at Peterson AFB. The Slovenian airmen also learned about C-130 Hercules operations and the challenges with using the aircraft with Modular Airborne Firefighting Systems, or 'MAFFS.' Colonel Condit is the 302nd AW's chief of safety as well as the Air Force Reserve Command's aerial firefighting coordinator. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Stephen J. Collier)
