AMC general sees Peterson-based active association, aerial firefighting up close
Master Sgt. Jason Harvey shares with Maj. Gen. Susan Desjardins, Air Mobility Command director of strategic plans, requirements and programs, the next generation of Air Force Reserve aerial firefighting equipment April 22 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. Known as Modular Airborne Firefighting System II, the "MAFFS II" unit was test fired as part of the 302nd Airlift Wing's annual preparation for wildland fire season. The general visited the 302nd AW and its active duty associate unit, the 52nd Airlift Squadron, to learn more about the wing's successes of integration under the Air Force's Total Force Initiative program.
