302nd Airlift Wing Photos

Roofing debris lies atop a single engine aircraft May 25 after 60 mph winds ripped half of a hangar's roof off at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. The debris also landed on an adjacent aircraft. One plane suffered a broken spine, bent engine mounts and wing damage, while a second aircraft suffered strut and wing damage. Both aircraft are owned and operated by Peterson's Aero Club, a flying enthusiast and flight training organization. Club officials expect one aircraft to be ruled a total loss by their insurance company. (U.S. Air Force photo/Roberta McDonald)
