Colorado community leaders see AF Reserve special missions up close
Police Capt. Dayton Robinson (right) listens as an Air Force air traffic control instructor explains the mission of the ATC training facility May 13 at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. Captain Robinson, a member of the City of Pueblo's Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, was part of a 26-person Colorado community relations tour escorted to Mississippi by the Air Force Reserve's 302nd Airlift Wing to learn more about special missions in the Air Force, to include aerial firefighting and weather reconnaissance, or "hurricane hunting." The community leaders also learned about a number of other missions in the Gulfport, Miss., area, including the training of Air Force air traffic controllers. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt.
