AF Reservists enjoy evening out with Colorado Springs-based 'Sky Sox'

Air Force Reserve and Active Duty Maintenance Airmen recite the oath of enlistment administered by Col. James Van Housen (right) July 10 at Security Service Field in Colorado Springs, Colo. Five of the Airmen, assigned to the 302nd Maintenance Group, and one Airman from the 52nd Airlift Squadron, are based at nearby Peterson Air Force Base. Members of the 302nd MXG, assigned to the AF Reserve's 302nd Airlift Wing, worked with the city's Sky Sox minor league baseball team to re-enlist the six Airmen in front of an estimated 3,000-person crowd. Later that evening, Airman 1st Class Tyler Higgins from the 52nd AS threw out the first pitch against the visiting Reno Aces during the night's doubleheader. Colonel Van Housen is the 302nd MXG commander. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Stephen J. Collier)
