Col. Kathryn Johnson (right) talks with Air Force Reservists Master Sgt. Jeffrey Hardsock (left) and Airman 1st Class John Halter about the challenges they face working in the maintenance career field July 11 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. Colonel Johnson recently became the 22nd Air Force/A4 director of logistics and visited with the Airmen of the 302nd Maintenance Group to become more familiar with the organization's personnel, processes and capabilities. One of the focus items discussed during the visit was the importance of Airmen taking advantage of seasoning training opportunities to hone their maintenance skills. The 302nd MXG is a subordinate organization to the AF Reserve's 302nd Airlift Wing. Sergeant Hardsock is the 302nd Maintenance Squadron isochronal maintenance dock section chief, while Airman Halter is an aircraft inspector in the same section.
