Colorado AF Reservists deploy amidst new Middle East mission, loved one's tears
Bob Aholt (left) and Dan Lachance, members of the Colorado Patriot Guard, offer their support to Air Force Reserve deployers Sept. 8 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. According to the organization's website, the Colorado Patriot Guard Riders make it a priority to attend deployments and redeployments of Colorado military personnel as well as attend funeral services for fallen servicemembers. Both Mr. Aholt and Lachance were on hand for approximately 50 302nd Airlift Wing members who deployed from Peterson AFB in support of U.S. Central Command operations. More than 150 aircrew, maintenance and support AF Reservists from the 302nd AW will depart for deployment through Sept. 9. The AF Reserve's 302nd AW is based at this southern Colorado installation.
