GOWEN FIELD, Idaho -- U.S. Forest Service, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and 302nd Air Expeditionary Group personnel load the 3,000 gallon Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System tank with water in preparation for an air drop by a MAFFS-equipped C-130 on a simulated fire. Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard members are currently undergoing their annual currency and re-currency certification required by the U.S. Forest Service prior to this year’s fire season.
