Staff Sgt. Paul Woods was presented the Air Force Achievement Medal by 302nd Airlift Wing Commander, Col. Jay Pittman, during the wing's December commanders call. The sergeant's actions led to the 302nd Maintenance Group smashing 22nd Air Force's 21-day inspection standard by two days, setting a 302nd MXG record. Senior Airman Raymond Shaw on right, also received the Air Force Achievement Medal for distinguishing himself while deployed as a communications infrastructure technician with the 332nd Expeditionary Communications Squadron, Joint Base Balad, Iraq. While under the threat of mortar and rocket attacks, Airman Shaw managed a $14 million wide-area-network ensure base wide communications. On left is Tech. Sgt. Jody Partin, commanders call proffer.
