ANG, Air Force Reserve support aerial firefighting response
Senior Airmen Dustin Johannsen and Barry Logan pull a retardant hose from a Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System-equipped C-130 June 29 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. The Airmen helped to prepare the aircraft to fly a retardant drop mission in support of Colorado wildland fire fighting efforts. MAFFS aircraft are capable of holding up to 3,000 gallons of retardant and can disperse it in as little as five seconds. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Thomas J. Doscher)
