MAFFS operations continue in Idaho
A Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System C-130 from the Air Force Reserve Command's 302nd Airlift Wing makes a retardant drop on the Springs fire near Banks, Idaho, just north of Eagle. On Aug. 9, MAFFS 5, assigned to the Colorado Reserve wing, made the 500th retardant drop for this year's MAFFS operations.
