Unimproved runway training
A C-130 aircraft from the Air Force Reserve Command’s 302nd Airlift Wing uses unimproved runways during training at Red Devil tactical airstrip at Ft. Carson, Colo. Landings cause rocks and other debris to hit the underside of the aircraft. The 302nd Maintenance Group started adding protective tape to the struts to alleviate the damage.
