PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- 5-year-old Wilder Umbarger and his mom, Marci, look around the cockpit of a C-130 Hercules aircraft belonging to the 302nd Airlift Wing July 30, 2020. After seeing the Blue Angels perform in Michigan, Wilder fell in love with airplanes and wanted to meet a real pilot. As Wilder struggles with a terminal illness, X-Linked Adrenoleukodystrophy, his wish was granted through the Make-a-Wish Foundation, who sponsored the Umbarger family to visit the Colorado Springs area from Broomfield, Colo.
