Barringer takes command of Peterson-based Reserve medical Airmen
Air Force Reserve Col. Leon Barringer (right) accepts the guidon of the 302nd Aeromedical Staging Squadron from Col. Jay Pittman, Jr., during an assumption of command ceremony at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., Feb. 7, 2016. The passing of military organization's guidon signifies the historic, peaceful transfer of leadership from one commander to the next. Barringer took command of the squadron after previously leading the 446th ASTS based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. Pittman, commander of the 302nd Airlift Wing, presided over the event. The 302nd ASTS serves the wing by ensuring its members' medical readiness and is responsible for patient staging and critical patient care. (U.S. Air Force photo/2nd Lt. Stephen J. Collier)
