May commander's call recognizes outstanding Reservists, addresses spike in AF deaths
Col. Bob Chapman (left), 302nd Airlift Wing vice commander, pins Tech. Sgt. Christopher Whigham with the Meritorious Service Medal May 2 during the spring 2010 commander's call at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. Sergeant Whigham was awarded the medal for his swift action in saving the life of a Department of Defense contractor who had suffered a heart attack. Colonel Chapman also recognized several other individuals and agencies for their achievements. Later, the colonel addressed upcoming events within the 302nd AW as well as a recent spike in accidental deaths in the Air Force. Sergeant Whigham is assigned to the 302nd Services Flight.
