302nd Airlift Wing Photos

'Wolf Pack' security forces participate in Patriot Defender

Members of the 302nd Security Forces Squadron pose a for a group photo May 4 before departing for the Patriot Defender combat skills training course at Fort Wolters Military Reservation, near Mineral Wells, Texas. The training prepares security forces personnel for overseas deployments, including how to respond to an improvised explosive device detonation and defend a convoy from enemy attack. The training also provides the Airmen an opportunity to sharpen their skills in law enforcement and military police duties. Patriot Defender also accomplishes the Reservists' three-year training requirement for security operations. Known as the "Wolf Pack," the 302nd SFS is assigned to the Air Force Reserve's 302nd Airlift Wing, a C-130 Hercules airlift wing based at Peterson. More than 35 members of the 302nd SFS returned in early 2009 from a six-month deployment to Kirkuk Regional Air Base in northern Iraq. (U.S. Air Force photo)
