PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. --
Active Duty Airmen from the 52nd Airlift Squadron and Air Force Reservists from the 302nd Airlift Wing returned to friends and family Sept. 14, 2012, here, after supporting C-130 tactical airlift missions in Afghanistan since May.
While in Southwest Asia, the aircrews and aircraft maintainers based at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, supported airlift operations for U.S. Central Command that included delivery of supplies, equipment and personnel, as well as aeromedical evacuation missions.

Airmen and C-130s from the 302nd AW have deployed in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and New Dawn since 2005.
